About The Simplified Self
You're not behind. You're carrying too much.
Your mind doesn't really switch off. Even when you finally sit down, something is still running in the background... something to remember, something unfinished, something you're not sure you can put down.
Over time, that leaves a mark. Not dramatically. Just quietly.
Things feel harder than they should. You stay slightly on edge even when nothing is technically wrong. Somewhere underneath all the managing and the doing, you wonder when you last felt like yourself.
That's not a you problem. That's what sustained mental load does.
Why this exists
Most wellbeing support asks you to do more.
This space does something different.
When you've been carrying a high load for a long time, the part of your brain responsible for clear thinking and decision-making becomes harder to access. Not because something is wrong with you, because that's what prolonged stress does, physiologically.
Good advice doesn't always land when you're already running on empty. The answer isn't more advice. It's something that meets you where you actually are.
About Chloe
The Simplified Self was founded in 2026 by Chloe.
After years of saying yes, doing more and trying to keep up with everything, Chloe reached a point in her own life that became unsustainable. Her body said stop. What followed was a a slow shift. Learning to be kinder to herself. Letting go of the idea she had to hold everything together. Realising she was not failing. She was human.
That experience connects her to the people who find their way to The Simplified Self.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from Deakin University and has a decade of professional experience in mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD), and community support services.
Her work has included case management, intake, assessment, brief intervention, counselling and care and recovery coordination for people experiencing chronic stress, complex needs and sustained overload.
She is internationally certified in somatic coaching, meditation coaching and breathwork (accredited by CPD, NCCAP, CMA, IPHM and ICAPHP) and has completed advanced study in addiction, grief and loss and abuse counselling (AIPC), along with other extensive professional development.
Chloe is a former Victorian Department of Health accredited Forensic AOD Clinical Drug Assessor and former Victorian Department of Health accredited Forensic AOD Clinicial Supervisor.
